Hi, I’m Lawrence McKendell,
I’m the owner and Creative Director of McKendell Design, an award-winning graphic design studio based in the San Francisco East Bay, specializing in logos, branding, and web design, and for almost 20 years creating thoughtful, interesting and compelling designs for my varied client base.
Clients
My clients range from iconic Habitat for Humanity of San Francisco, and the Isaac Hayes Foundation of New York, to Super Lawyers®: Katy Young of Ad Astra Law and Jim Yu Law – to fine artists such as Pam Fingado and Nicole Rubio, to the award-winning Montessori School, The Renaissance International School of Oakland/Piedmont, as well as healthcare providers, start-ups and a plethora of solo-prenuers. All unique and equally passionate in their visions and missions, and their appreciation of good design to present their brand’s message.
Education
I studied design at the SF Academy of Art in San Francisco and the Art Institute of Dallas receiving an AA in Visual Communications. I also earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Marketing from Sacramento State University.
Two spheres of experience
In addition to 18 years of design experience, I also bring 18 years of corporate sales, marketing experience with the Bose Corporation, Arrow Electronics and with cleantech start-up Marine Power Products, not only am I able to discuss the design process from concept to production, I am also able to discuss the business process. Explaining the cost/benefits of a design project and how it may impact your company’s bottom line.
